For those seriously interested in a rear disc conversion please head over here and post so...

http://www.contour.org/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=25&t=000532&p=

Mike is a local member I've been talking with and this company is close by so my car could be used as a prototype if this works out.

TIA

this would be so great if we had a Performance rear brake conversion, it would make upgrading the fronts so much more balanced, 'cause right now with the 13's up front the car feels like its doing a nose dive 'cause the rears are so week(compared tothe fronts) and the fronts bite so hard.

I think maybe what I'll try is just getting rear shoes with some extra high coefficient of friction. Since my front pads are carbon with a somewhat low coefficient, maybe it will balance out.

I bet the shoes are about due for replacement now. And of course, I still haven't gotten around to flushing out the old fluid and replacing it with 500 degree stuff. Still not sure if it's better to bleed and bleed, hoping the old stuff all gets washed out, or go to the trouble of taking each wheel off and holding the cylinder upside down to drain. Maybe I should bleed and bleed, then drive a bunch to thoroughly mix any remaining old fluid with the new (including some ABS stops), then bleed and bleed again.

mods so far: CTA intake with homemade heat shield, KVR drilled front rotors & carbon pads w/ 500° fluid
planned mods: exhaust (want to keep it quiet), e-ram (awaiting installation), diablo chip
involuntary mods: compression increased after head gasket failure

Thanks to those that posted...now...

I KNOW there are more than 5 of you guys that are interested in this!!

Paul, get your butt over there!!

I'm not asking anyone to buy a $1000 kit tommorrow...but we have to show the interest or else this WILL get tossed aside. This is a busy busy company with lots of projects...you think they're going to make a rear conversion just because a couple people say it'd be cool?? Nope, don't think so!! Please Please Please...I'm begging you!! laugh

Thank You.
