I just finished putting in the intake and it is uckin' fawesome!! It took my dumbass about an hour and a half to do it, and it sounds incredible! I've included it in my premium sound system in my sig because it is so noticable at any volume. If you're thinking about getting this, buy it right now! 151 bucks shipped to USA and well worth every penny! It's very easy to install, the hardest thing was taking off the breather hose on the engine, but, with a few swipes with a knife, it comes right off.

Yeah, I heard a lot of good stuff about the CTA CAI. But, i'm gonna be a bit more patient and wait for D DAVIS' CAI to come out. It is supposed to kick the CTA's a$$ when it is done. BTW, why did you have to cut the breather hose out? Was it that tight?

Umm....perhaps I did this wrong, but I have a CTA and I never took that hose off!
You know the end of that breather hose, the one that fits into the stock intake tube? Well, you know how it has a plastic end with a hole? I fit that over the "point" that was sticking out of the CTA intake (It's about an inch long and that fits right over it). I didn't put the crankcase filter on b/c I didn't see how the filter would attach to that hose. Did I do something wrong? Can I just take that whole hose off then and put the breather filter on??
I drew a crappy picture to show you what I mean. 1 points to the "Point" that I talked about. 2 points to the breather hose, with the plastic end with the hole. The long arrow shows where I'm attaching it.

Rynn-I tried to copy and paste the install instructions, but my server wouldn't let me. Anyway, it says:
98+ models-diconnect the breather hose from the engine. Connect the breather filter to the engine.
98 and pre-98- models-don't disconnect the hose from the engine. Disconnect the end that goes into the air filter box and plug it into the little nipple thingy on the new intake tube.
As I said, I couldn't copy and paste, but this is more-or-less what it says.

Ok, that must mean 98.5 and above. I'm pretty sure I have just a plain 1998 (It's build date was 11/97), so what I did was correct It's just kind of weird that Chris from CTA sent me that filter!

i have a 96......you should still have that little black box connected to the hose running to your engine.........that stays the same......you just add a new silicone hose between the box (filter) and the CTA intake.......hope that helps anyone.......
