Since I found out that the Contour and the Focus share the Zetec I did a little research. I check a few Focus archives and found out that a Focus R boasts 200+ hp! If I remember correctly it was a DOHC zetec with a blower! I've seen some of you guys say you post hp in the high 100's. Maybe a retrofit of this of the Focus R mechanics may help out a few of the Contours see REAL horsepower. Or could I be wrong?!?!? You guys tell me. eek

without stretching too far Terry could get a Zetec to nearly 350...

Gee just bolt a supercharger on the Duratec and it makes 325+ HP at the crank...

BTW - It's a turbo on the Zetec...

YOU ARE WRONG!!! Someone even beat me to it as I posted the second response.

Madmole has a N/A Zetec around 200HP at the crank. Pretty impressive if you ask me. No forced induction.

BTW - if you BET THE ODDS you will only win half the time, but atleast you'll break EVEN...

Sorry to burst the bubble but the Focus does not use the same series of Zetec as the Contour, if you want to go with a Focus set up that is Ford based you would need the whole motor assy + its t/c or go aftermarket if you stick with the Contour Zetec....sorry!
