OH MY GOD, this is soo sweet!! We need some prices!!! BTW, looking at the pic... ...it looks like the turbo mounts where the cat is usually mounted. Will HMS or DemonDynamics have the necessary high-flow cat? Also, is this the official turbo offering by HMS for the Zetec? Or is this just another alternative? Ohhh soo many questions.

cut and pasted from here: http://www.fordmondeo.org/cgi-local/forums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=30;t =000006;p=2#000014 because i'm lazy! I had a long chat this afternon with Lee Fullerton, the man behind it all and also the guy Terry Haines is dealing with. There are 3 kits available in total at the moment, all zetec based. One is a stage 1 kit, £1750 (inc vat) which will give around 180bhp, this is also upgradeable at a later date to a stage 2. Stage 2 costs £2200 (inc vat) which will give you around 220bhp. This uses a mappable 5th injector controller. There is also a stage 3, which can give 300+bhp! But that costs over £3500 IIRC. These kits dont include an intercooler, you have to buy them seperatly, but he said one from a peugeot 405/309TD works ok. Like Dawg said, 70k on an engine is the average mileage when they fit them. If you have more miles like me (114k) then it's worth stripping it and rebuilding basically with a few strengthened parts, like bolts, con-rods etc. Basically, this guy took over after Power Engineering threw the towel in because they couldnt make it reliable. Well, Lee has! Hopefully he should be showing his face in here, I told him about the group and he was keen to get associated. The last 6 years he's been busy installing turbos, now he's going to start marketing and getting the name known. He's going to be at the doncaster show the week after our show, if anyone wants to pop along.

Looks like some great news for the zetec...
Stage 1: $2,497.95 Stage 2: $3,140.28 Stage 3: $4,995.90
I take it this includes everything needed to have a turbo tour, minus a radar detector if you feel you need one. Now if I can lock down a nice summer job I can put it in sometime in June. Stage 1, with an intercooler or water injection and the drive-ability of my car will vastly improve.

Why is it that there is never anyone that is making turbos for the contour and posting them on sites such as this? They have them for the older fiesta and stuff like that but no contours. I dont understand.

Terry-
How much would you get to install the Stage 1 kit on a 95 GL, MTX (with only 75K and good compression). How long would this job take? How much for labor and kit all together?
There would be no time constraints, as I am deploying to the desert for 6 months in June, and could pay for it all at the end or ahead of time if needed. (the kit, labor, etc).
Would you be willing to keep the car there (I can supply proof of insurance as needed) once completed, and then I could drive it home to MN once the deployment is over (in December).
Let me know- thanks, John
PS, I would have PM'd you, but your mailbox is full. PM your reply if you wish.
