I'm using the Napa pump, but I can't say for sure that it's a good one. Ask me after another 75000 miles...

LMAO laugh

I'll be waiting by my computer. :p

Bill,

I've heard the NAPA pump is a good one...I believe it has a metal impellor. I don't think the manufacturer is so much the concern as is the fact that it should have a metal impellor. The only cause of water pump failure I've seen(Z or D)has been from the crappy plastic impellor disintegrated.

My Napa pump had a plastic impeller. But I believe that it at least lacks the two little holes where the failures happen.

Does onybody know if the electric w/p from BAT would work for a Zetec? Its meant for a Durated, but I don'y think it would be that big of a hassle putting it in a Zetec. Any thoughts?

I bought mine at Carquest, and it is the exact same as the pump I removed. Same casting numbers, everything. The pump bearing went on mine, the impeller on the old pump was plastic but appeared to be just fine. I would have to say do not get a Goodyear timing belt, which Carquest sells under there brand name. It does not fit without re-adjusting the cam sprockets.
