Well, I've checked with BOTH Diablo and Superchips, and NONE of them have a TUB2 programming. My quetion - Why can't I use a different programming? I mean, I really don't want to pay $100 to have them read my chip, and then pay another $250 to get the chip.

Why can't you get a chip???......

Three letters and One number...

O..B..D..1

All the Contours after 1995 use OBD2 as the programming code...your car has OBD1. Not compatible. To my knowledge neither of those manufacturers have an application for OBD1 in a Contour. V6 or I4.

Sorry.

Well, I know it's possible, but it would hjust cox about 2x more. Those people that you know that had the chips, do you have any contacts or anything for them? I want to know what programming they had.

Call or e-mail Chris Wong at CTA and see if they can request a code be made by diablo.

I had to get mine specially made. Takes a couple of weeks to get diablo off their duffs but it should be pretty straight forward.

What about Diablo...I heard they were working on it but don't have it yet.

Is Lances a custom burn?

Probably what WaLieN would need...

Well, it would be custom that it would fit to my comp, but it would just be the standard settings. If I were paying that much ($340) for a totally custom burn, it would be a lot better.

I was told that I could look for Contour 96-97's in a junkyard and try to find a replacement comp., given tthat it is an ATX and is a Contour. I might try that one weekend, and see how it works out. Im sure that I wouldnt have to pay too much for it if it comes from a junkyard. We'll see what happens.
