Is anyone running sythetic in their Zetec? If so, what kind are you running? Is there any noticeable differences? Any other information I should need to know?

I was wondering because some of my friends are running it in their cars and they say it is a lot better than regular oil. I was thinking of running it year round.

i think it sucks...will never use it again. 80000 leak free miles before synthetic....3 leaks after. i know,, alot of people will say the synthetic did'nt cause the leaks but i'm not so sure

Synthetic 5W is exactly the same runnyness as Dino 5W.

If you had an oil leak its because a seal has gone, not the oil you use

Some of us have been running Mobil 1 for well over 100K miles with no problems or leaks at all (and much less wear than others)

I have 91,000K and running Mobil 1 5w-30.

Seems to idle smoother, lowers engine temp. Zetec seems to like it in the winter.

I use that and Motorcraft filter.
