A group buy is when a bunch of people get together and buy somthing, (such as an intake, chip, etc.) in order to get a discount, because so many are being bought at once. In the ones I have been in, everybody sends $$ to one person, and its sent all at once to the company. There is a guy who is getting a body kit made for our cars, check the group buy forum.
