I'd take a Stage I if the money's there this summer. Few Questions though...

Any emmisions testing problems with the kit? I live in Wyoming now which has no emmision requirements, but I'd like to keep it legal for when I move.

Specifically what kind of engine build-up is required for Stage 1, and do I need to add anything to beef up the ATX to maintain it as a reliable daily driver?

Finally any suggestions for a good radar detector? I think I may actually need one if I had a turbo.

This is Terry's kit for the Zetec.

Well is it going to be available or not. Stage 1 is all I need. If not hows that header coming.
I thought the whole deal was that no one elses kit was designed for the contour so they woulnd'nt
fit without mods. So what now everything fits and we have a choice! I GUESS I MISSED THAT!!!

thats a stage 2 for me. if i could get 500+hp i would. i dont want to just be beating civics i want to compete with vipers to. now THAT would be a original contique. a $8k car plus $20k in upgrades is still cheaper then a $60-70k viper hehe. maybe im going crazy forget what i just said.

let me put it this way....If i could get a reliable 230-250 crank HP from my car in ANY form, I would A)Keep the car and B) Buy whatever mods would give me that performance for around $2500 (not including a full engine rebuild or tranny modifications). And if "tuning" means paying for additional Dyno time at $200 a pop, then forget it. If you provide the turbo, you provide the initial tuning service to go with it too.

what can i say?! just trying to look at the big picture. forced induction is cheaper for foreign cars. i can get a subaru RS 2.5 (old body style) with 30k miles on it for about 11 grand. add a turbo for about 2.5 grand and another 1.5 grand for suspension/exhaust mods and you have a car that'll run high 13s and will handle very well. as mentioned in my dream list, i would love to drop a load on cash on my contour and be original, but does it make sense when comparison shopping? only if the parts and/or installation are cometitavely priced.

my 2 cents.

yeah but I want a car I can use. the 2.5 is great and I like it, but I need a trunk and a little room.
