i have a 97 'tour with minor mods and i was thinking about getting a muffler. not a complete cat-back.....just a muffler. what's the best ones to look at? will i have to substitute the resonator with a straight pipe of some sort? thanks....

go straight res and a dynomax ultra flo ss thats what im about to get casue the turbo i got 4 free is a POS

It depends what type of tone you want. Like I am getting either HKS or Greddy. I love the import type exhaust, but it is up to your taste.

If i was to put any thing back on it would be magnaflow for sure nice stuff

Mine will be running Flowmasters when I finally buy them. I had those on my last car, and I loved the sound.

I have the Vortex, although I have a full exhaust setup. Sound is nice, pretty beastly. Doesn't have the high pitched whine of a Honda. Does get a little fart sound when it hits the rev limiter when I'm reving the car though, but that's only because of the rev limiter. Sounds really good and loud while driving. Now then again, I have my muffler where my resonator was, so it'll sound a lot different if you put it towards the end of the car.
