Not w/o making an adaptor for the flange that connects the header to the cat.. They're different on Contours, Focii, and ZX/2's.

There was someone several months back that claimed to have put the JBA header on his Contour. He had a machine shop make up the adaptor; he didn't mention any clearance issues (not that there aren't any, he didn't mention them).

Terry Haines says he has a 4-1 race header for the Contour (it gets rid of the cat), but haven't seen pictures nor pricing on it.

I wanted to know the same thing. I guess I will have to make an adapter. Why can't anything be easy to do on these cars? frown

Hey Perry,
Iam the guy you talked about with the JBA header on my contour.... First of all it fit great wih the adapter I made, but please I don't want you guys to buy a JBA header, since about a month and a half I ve put the stock hunk of junk back on, I had to send that header back to them THREE times now so i found a focus that wanted it, and he wound up giving it to te trash man, I torq. it to the right specs every time, about a week would go by and the weld would break, in the matter of 6 months it broke Four times in till the trash man was the proud owner.

Hope this helps everyone
sorry for the long post

Later guys

Nick

That's not the first time I've heard of build issues with JBA.

Any idea if this would cause any issues in passing emissions? I know MD is very lax. I did a quick pass with my leaky SVT exhaust (since been fixed). If they do not visibly see any issues and emissions are not too high, I am sure there won't be a problem.
