I was wondering if the focus engine compartment is set up the same as the contour's? I want to put a lot of performance parts in mine, but they really only make a wide variety of performance parts for the focus and not for my contour. Thanks for the help! Derek

I don't know about the engine compartments, but be sure whatever you plan on using will in fact work on your engine. I don't know if any pulleys, mounts, etc. are located differently. I do know, for instance, the airbox on a Focus is completely weird compared to ours. Do your research before losing any money...

THe pulleys, cams, cam gears, and other internal engine parts will work. Intakes will not, MAFs should, throttle bodies probably won't (they aren't even interchangeable between ATX and MTX Foci). Headers will not bolt up without some custom work, and turbos most likely will not either.

Umm well...Perry pretty much hit the nail on the head here. I was going to post basically the exact same thing but he beat me to it. I know Perry and I have both looked into quite a few performance parts to interchange but its less than promising. Like he said...intakes, TB's, MAF's are very questionable and probably wouldn't work. Basically the easy stuff that doesn't fit. Hows that for Irony?

I was wondering the same thing at one point. I went to the local Ford dealer and took a Polaroid of the Focus engine bay.
