i am about to order a diablo chip from CTA and i would like to know if it can be programmed to run on regaular unleaded gas??? i will get it prg. to run with the medium gas if not thanks

The whole purpose of the chip is reprogramming the fuel mapping to run on premium gas to make more power. If you had a chip programmed to run on regular you would'nt notice much of a difference except for raised shift points and the removal of your top speed governor. Get the chip as it was meant to be used and it will be money well spent. If you cant afford premium gas try an octane booster. If you can't afford that...well

i had a diablo chip in my zx2, ran better, got better gas mileage form 89 octane than 92/93 octane.

Yeah, run the premium. With the computer remapped, you should get better gas mileage anyway. My guess as to why I don't see an improvement with 92 right now is because it just isn't programmed for it.

Well my car seems to run better(quicker) with mid grade 89/90 gas. I run premium I feel no difference. If I had access to free dyno I would test that theory.
