jax,
Stick with Autolite platinums or Motorcraft platinums. I use the Motorcraft and they work just fine. So far, there hasn't been any consensus that one plug is the best to get. No one has really seen much of a difference from a performance stand point. Silverstone supposedly makes some very nice plugs(read $11 each)I think CTA sells them. I'll probably switch to those when I burn up these MC. I'd say overall, everyone here uses Motorcraft or Bosch +4s...depends on how much you want to spend.

hotcontour,
Not exactly sure, I don't think there is a difference but don't quote me. Best way to check is compare the part numbers listed in your owners manual to the part numbers listed in someones owners manual from a 98+. I'll post my P/N's in the morning...I don't feel like walking to my car right now, just got done waxing it.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm...shiny Contour... laugh laugh laugh

Part number for the 96 double platinum Motorcraft plug is AZFS-22PP. Part number for 97 was different, could be different again for 98's.
