Me again guys. Tell me does the Zetec suffer from throttle hang? In the event it does, can the procedure to eliminate on the V6 be applied to the Zetec? The usual prompt responses will be greatly appreciated.

Well, mine had the recall for it. Personally, I don't even think they touched it because it still does the same thing. I actually kinda dig it...keeps the revs up when I need 'em most laugh

The hang is from the VCT. It makes sure the fuel is fully burned so that your car puts out less emissions.

I have a 96 and it seems to have the hanging problem. Maybe it is just the fly wheel though I'm not sure. Either way I don't have vct on my motor.

Nothing an aluminum flywheel can't fix. I believe that it does that because the of the idle control valve which is to control emissions
