Hi Guys: The emission law in my country (Jamaica) is not as stringent as those in the good old USA. Consequently I am contemplating gutting my Cat. However, prior to doing so I would like if this will result in my having a permanent Check Engine Light. If anyone has done this please advise me of the pros and cons.

Of all the 'stories' I've 'heard' about this topic people don't 'forsee' any problems with doing it...though I don't know anything about anyone actually doing it. wink Shouldn't be any problems. It'll just free up your exhaust...basically. laugh

i suggest you think of this modification first, if it is on a Zetec, do not do it, there is a considerable ammount of power loss along with it, not to mention, your gas mileage for some reason goes down.

i'd think on it before i do that.
