At the end of the headers on my stock 98 se tour' is there a converter there that the sensor plugs in at?.....or is that just heat sheilding material? that makes it look like a catalytic converter before the join point after the collector?

I don't know exactly what your saying, but I'll take a guess. I believe you are reffering to the oxygen sensors in the stock manifolds. There are 'pre-cats' in the manifolds, which basically only controll emissions when the car is cold.
Hope I guessed right wink !

97' 2.5L Contour SE -T-Red
Midas exhaust (grr...), Sony CD player, K&N airfilter, Mobil One Synthetic Oil, removed intake resonator, modified MAF, in-fender CAI, painted grill, Platinum tipped NGK's.

I am looking for SVT E0's or E1's, SVT Upper & Lower Intake, SVT Throttle Body, and SVT Exhaust. If you are selling, e-mail me!

If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
