Can someone supply me with specs on the Zetec? In particular, what is the redline and at what rpm is peak power?

3500 rpm sounds way too low for any car! are you sure.

Is that in Park or Neutral? If so, I think the ATX has a rev-limiter in P & N around that rpm as a safety mechanism. Since you aren't driving a stick, they see no need to rev it that high without being in gear...I think. It also safeguards the engine in case you slip into Neutral...again, I think.

yah its ATX, in park it revs to 1000 and goes "rrnrnrnrnrnrnnr" and in neutral it goes to 1900-2000 and then goes "rnrnrnrnnrrnr"
driving it it can go to 3500 and then hits the thing and falls back down....
cant i get rid of some wire or somthing to make it rev higher? i mean what the bloody hell.. i wanted Esslinger cams but they say 5500 -7000! what good is that?
