ok my next project is painting my grill on my 99 green svt. Any hints on what the best way to go about doing it I have seen some of you writing responses saying that you have done this but I would like to know the type of paint and such so I dont see the grill peeling in a couple of months lol thanks!

the grille isn't going to really peel. it might get chipped though. your best bet is to have you professionally painted if that's the case. i just figured i would by the cheap chrome paint from Oreilleys and slap that on and say screw it. so far after three months it's still kicken strong, but in areas has chips. looks great, but you sound like you are going to be picky about this. i did it my way to save money. here's mine

mine looks just like phatsvt's. I used Rustoleum Bright Coat Chrome. Applies just like paint and mine still looks good 7 months later.

I painted just my trim ring. I forget what paint I used....but to get it to stick right your best bet is to rough up the chrome trim ring. It will stick alot better. Prime then paint it. Mine doesn't look too bad for $5, but I think this spring, I'll get it done 'right'
