Which is better, a K&N filter or the KKM intake system. I trust K&M and it has improved my civic, but I'm not too sure about KKM, is it reliable or any good?

The KKM induction system uses a conical S&B Powerstack filter made of cotton gauze. Same stuff that K&N filters are made of, but direct replacement and their conical filters. The KKM system comes with a elbow to extend the intake pipe and a couple of silicon couplers to make the connection.

I've heard good results from both. Biggest concern with the KKM is Heat soak and a Ford dealer giving you a hard time if something goes wrong with the engine. I have the KKM my self and love the sound.

I would go for the K&N and try to fit it directly to the MAF. KKM has the metal pipe, which gets hot along with the engine heat, so....you donŽt get cold air as you would with a direct fit to the MAF. K&N goes for this option. I wouldnt reccomend the K&N Cyclone w/the aluminum tube. Aluminum is the fastest metal to heat or cool, so youŽll absorb most of the heat off the engine.
