Does anyone know the approximate cost of installation of a manual in a zetec auto? Anyone know what it's going to cost me to buy a new manual transmission? Will ford do this mod? I'm thinking I'll save up this summer and do this. Would I be better off trading my car in for one with a stick? I always get burned off the line by stickshifts, I hate it.

My ATX is just fine. I even plan on going forced induction later this year. With the proper amount of power, the ATX will come in handy... My trans sucks too! It shifts very harshly very often and doesn't downshift easily. It is always in too much of a hurry to hit third gear.

I'll have to agree the ATX is a little 'foo-foo' at times and it does push to drop to third and OD. It does a shift a little hard sometimes too. Since I got my new exhaust installed I noticed the shifts are much smoother. Wont downshift!!! shifts too hard!!! dont sound at all like mine. Mine downshifts if the wind changes and doesnt upshift till 4500-5000rpm's then it takes for ever and is way to smooth!! I wish I had your problems sometimes.On the other side the thing seems like it loves to run hard torque steer and all.

I acctually shift for my car then it will listen. I so admit the ATX Sucks. But do you think we could get the focus SVT 6 speed. Probly cost to much to fit it in a auto.
