yes that's what I'm talking about, what's the purpose of it. I think its ugly. Want to know if I need it. My ZX2 doesn't have one, the intake is hooked up to the throttle body.

I see a lot of those plenums at the salvage yard here where i live,and there is nothing inside it, just an empty plastic,i think it somehow reduce noise.I have been looking for any wrecked zx2 or focus and see if their intake tube will work on our`s,but ca`nt find one yet.

i would get rid of it but it has a vacuum hose attached to under side of the plenum chamber. i need to look at my zx2 and see where the vacuum is hooked up to the air intake.
