Is everyone in here hanging out at focus boards or somehting? Seems like things have slowed down significantly in the zetec forum lately.

Just wondering!

I have been posting at Club-focus.net lately, but I still watch this board for anything to reply to. I've been thinking I will get a new Focus later this year, but haven't decided which one. I'm torn between the ZX3 and the five-door ZX5 hatchback that will be coming around September or October, but I don't want to wait that long, so I might just get a ZX3. I'm sick of automatics. My next car will be a stick shift.

I think maybe b/c its winter and no ones wants to work on their car in belowe freezing temperatures. Hopefully in the spring it will pick up again.

Good stuff, I am not putting down the Mystique, but the Focus is much more fun to drive with the mtx. It's sad that after the automatic in the Mystique you feel pushed to buy a mtx, and then again it is good

My tranny went at 90K KM, so if your tranny is shifting funny and it shifts hard in the morning when cold, I would look into maybe replacing the oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic ATX fluid or something.

The Focus is my first manual car and I love it, no problems after 16K KM.

Don't get me wrong I still appreciate the Mystique, I don't see how they think the Focus could be a replacmet for the Contique? It's just a cool car in itself, a Zetec powered manual Focus feels like a sports car compared to the 2.0L ATX Mystique.

I have already done a trans service on my car and it helped, but only for a few days. The computer seems to be the culprit. Everything I do helps for only a day or two, and then it shifts harshly again. Cold morning shifting is very slow and sloppy too.

I acutually think that my atx is one of the better ones i've driven. It has not complaints about taking the rpms up th the redline, and shifts nice n crisp the way it outta be. Its WAY better than my old 88 Lebaron GTS atx, better than a neon atx, and definitly better than my friends civic ex atx.
I'm gettin' a stick on my WRX just cause its so much more fun!
