Well I was wondering if anyone had got rid of that nasty atx yet, and went with the mtx on their zetec, I heard awhile back that it might take alot of time and dough to do it, but if we start getting some wrecked zx2, or maybe even zx3 there might be a way.
What do you guys say????

yeah but will the price and time be flying around up in outer space???
Meaning what will I be looking at in price range if anyone can answer that, cause I want that horrible thing out of my car(was talked into getting it by girlfriend, even though I only drive mtx).... yeah I know what your thinking he's wooped, but hey she had, and yes I say had cause shes gone now, some beautiful legs and I couldn't say no at that time...

Yes understand the female thing,I have two ex wives myself!!.Yes if you got a wrecked MTX it could be made to fit.Biggest issue is wiring other than that all 'bits' will fit/swap.

Could you list all nesecary parts for a full swap if you have the time to do so?? Thanks for your replys by the way....

If you can find a nice one from a junk yard and everything with it and no how to do it then sweeet. But if you go through the dealership it might be high labor. I think it is a 6-10 hour process if you take it to the dealership!

Well I just talked to a ford dealer and they said they dont do that kind of work, then I said what the hell do you guys do in the service dept, and ofcourse the leading thing they said was recall repair, go figure...

I guess I have to do this the only way I know how, go dumpster dive through the junk yards and piece it together and see what my friends pops has to say on helping me put this toghter..

This sort of job is not for a dealer,how about early Feb 2001,wher do you live?

Wow you mean you would come all the way down to Houston Tx.???? And over see the swap???

I should be one the west cost during parts of 2001,I would stop by if it would help(driving transporter for shows etc in Ca).Dont have a firm schedule right now but could keep you advised,does that help at all?
