Dragon Race Engineering is a new shop opening tomorrow in Broomfield. As part of their Grand Opening celebration, they are offering $25 dyno runs all weekend! First come, first serve. Here is a quote from a recent post on the Colorado F-Body website.

Quote:

DRE is a full service performance shop dedicated to performance modifications on late model Corvettes (l98/lt1/ls1), F-bodys (LT1,LS1), and the new Cavalier/Sunfire/Grand Am (Ecotech). DRE is intended to be the most technologically advanced performance shop in the region and re-define late model GM performance. We have a Mustang 1750 chassis dyno in house that will dyno any car up to 1750 hp (this is the same dyno used by the Winston cup boys and more info can be found on their web-site if your curious -- I know everybody is used to the Dynojet). We posess all of the LT1/LS1 edit software as well as a prom burner/software for the older cars. We have an in house flow bench with Audie data aquisition software that allows us to R&D all flow related items very quickly with very high accuracy. We have a TNT nitrous dealership and an NOS dealership as well as the ability to refill nitrous.
Out of house we are in the process of manufacturing/machining several prototype performance parts for our cars. Already being produced are High Performance (up to 1000HP)4.125 bore LS1 aluminum engine blocks on sale now for $4500 until my supply runs out (compare with $6200-$8000). Victor Jr. reverse cool heads for LT1's - out of the box these things will blow by AFR heads and with our stage 3 race port added your going to have to convince us your motor can handle them. DRE custom grind dual pattern cams for LT1/LS1.
On the blocks: DRE 9" swap in rear end, 4.10/3.73 gears manufactured in house for C5's, twin supercharger kits for both Corvettes and Camaro's and the ultimate power producer a twin turbo setup that will be good for more power that I'm going to let you have without some serious driving school. Everything we modify for performance comes with a before and after dyno sheet and is gauranteed to make at least the power quoted. Right now we offer at least 4 different stages of motor packages for each car and will be introducing the really high HP blown packages at SEMA next fall. DRE is NOT a bolt on shop! We offer one stage 1 package for your cars that is mostly bolt-ons but beyond that we would rather sell you real performance than waste your money on things that dont make a difference. We do offer appearance modifications and custom paint in our downdraft booth.

A little background on myself. My name is Peter Cochetas and I am the President of DRE. I have worked on Corvettes and Camaro's for the last ten years including some time spent at Callaway. I have three degrees from the University of Colorado, two of which are in Engineering (For as much time and money as I spent I should be a doctor). I have owned 6 different Corvettes and currently own two -- One 96 blown 383ci automatic convertible, and one 2000 6spd convertible. I have an extensive background in computers and research on automotive computers. I posess 4 different patents for vehicle related inventions and have 5 more pending. My favorite things to do are modify cars, show people how to modify their cars, and of course race cars. While this all sounds a little pretentious and boastfull, I'm really a very down to earth guy, I just wanted you to know that I beleive just owning a shop does not qualify me as an expert that can do quality work.

I look forward to seeing you all at the shop and hope in the future that you might call it home as I am always willing to have guests up for a little bench racing or impromptu car show.

Now the only downside to this new shop is finding it the first time.....Here's directions:
HWY 36 (boulder turnpike) to either 104th or 120th.
104th:go east and make an immediate left on the Pavilion Pkwy (this becomes Main St). Follow this around until you get to 117th and go left (dont wory if you turned on 116th) go to Teller and turn right. Go to 118th and turn left and go to the end on the right and look for the huge Dragon (As soon as I find the time to get the sign up).
120th): Head into Broomfield and make a left turn onto a cloverleaf that turns into 120th (sorry but I can't describe it much better and I don't know what idiot designed the interchange). Follow 120th to Teller St. and turn right (4 blocks before Main St.) Go to 118th and turn right and look for the Dragon.

We look forward to seeing you and dont forget about our grand opening all weekend (sat, sun, mon) we will be giving away a lot of dyno time, t-shirts, free food, and as always free info.
Just a heads up... this is a great deal... $25 dyno... free food... what more could you want?

If only I had a reason to dyno...

IIRC Mustang dyno's require that you remove the wheels as the dyno hooks directly up to your lugs. They are very comprable to a Dynojet in the #'s produced but work very differently. I'll check the shop out though that's for sure.
