My car just turned 4 years, so had to get an emission inspection for plates. So I go over to the AIRcare station at 52nd and Lamar and they tell me they can't test because I have lowered (Eibachs) and the wheels (I got 17" Borbet wheels)
Anybody else have this problem?

I might try slapping on the Stock 16" wheels/ tires (which thankfully i didn't sell to Alex !!) and see if that works, they told me it might.

Really need some help on this one guys. Also I have an SVT so the front facia is an issue here.

What? Emissions and springs are two COMPLETELY different aspects of ANY car. Try a different shop...one where the people know what the hell they're talking about. Is there any particular reason you're going to this shop, Lon?

Suggestion:

Don't go to the emisions place in southwest Denver. Terrible terrible people work there. Just as bad as any DMV. I took my car there when I first bought it, and the guy driving it didn't know how to drive stick!!! eek He didn't admit he didn't knwo how to drive stick until he killed it three times. eek I was super pissed.

OK. The issue is the dorks at AIR Care told me the car is to low to safely put on the roller. They claim it will potentally damage the wheels and front facia, and want me to sign a damage waiver before the test, which i refuse to do.

Anyway, I think I may have come up with a solution.....move out of Denver!!!!

Go somewhere else in the front range, or go out east.

I have a dream, and that is a 69 Boss 302 with Jules Asner in it.

Problem solved.

I was in South Fork, Colorado on Tuesday on a business meting (Rio Grande County) so I stopped in Del Norte, the county seat, and registered there.

No emissions, so screw the pinheads in Denver!! (so I saved $24) Chances are very good I will be moving to South Fork within the next 2-3 months because we're getting close on a deal doing a 200 unit condo development. I can deal with living in the San Juan mountains !!!
