I got my Energy Suspension motor mount inserts the other day. Anyone care to join me in the install? smile

Do you have a day in mind yet? Maybe we can get together when I get my intake.

It only takes about 15 min to install, IF you can get the thru bolt loose quickly. It takes ALOT of force to loosen it-make sure you have a breaker bar. Did mine real quick and watched FluidSVT (Where are you Chad?) do his in about 30 min. at our last "big" meet here in Boulder...

I didn't realize it was that quick of a job. What needs to be removed? I'm guessing the air intake plumbing? I haven't taken a close look at anything yet. I got the box in the mail yesterday.

Let's see... I *MIGHT* have some time on Sunday to take a looksie at the SVT. Between Easter stuff and doing some work to my 626GT, I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to do the motor mount swap. However, I'm off on Wednesday and Thursday, so maybe I'll do it then. Anyone up for a meet? smile

Tim, you go from the underside...they're for the front motor mount. I did mine in about 30min too...I struggled with that through bolt as well. It's an easy install. You'll have to jack up the engine (not on the oil pan), take the bolts off the mount, jack up the engine a smidge more, remove the mount, put the ES inserts in, replace. laugh Make sure you remember which way the motor mount faced, cause it's easy to put it in backwards. drop me a line if you get stuck.

Ahh, okay. I was thinking it was a different mount. Now that I visualize what needs to happen it should be pretty straight forward. Maybe I'll stop by my mom's house on the way home from work and take a looksie.
Thanks!

I went to mom's house afterwork. Jacked up the car and took a looksie. After looking at the job for a min or two I just decided to do it. Getting the mount out was easy. Then I wasn't paying attention and started to remove the inerts of the mount, which of course triggered the 'oh sheit' alert. I slapped myself on the hand and then grabbed the inserts and threw them onto the mount. My hardest part was aligning the mount/engine so I could get the bolt back in. Because that seemed to take forever I think the entire job from start to finish was an hour and half. (doh!)
Oh well, it's in. I drove the car for a couple mins but didn't really notice anything, but that's okay. I'm sure it will prove itself later on down the road. smile

same here, didn't notice much. maybe a little less torque-steer (easily offset by my headers laugh ) but it's a little added precaution for the car.
