My passenger rear tire has been getting really low the past few days, so I figured I would get it fixed on my day off. I went and got it fixed at Pepboys. When I was picking up my car the guy behind the counter started asking me about Contour stuff. He said he had one and to check out his car. Ran around back, checked it out. Twas a silver SVT. laugh Looks like he has Elky's mesh along with a lowering kit, etc. (sharp looking car!)
My question is.. Which one of you fools wants to fess up? wink

...Best $12.50 I've spent getting something fixed on my car! Oh, and I only had to wait an hour, so suck this phil schlong! :p

Speaking of flat tire...

Last week I was pulling up into the church parking lot, parked, opened the door and heard a very solid loud hiss. It was the driver's side rear. I took a good look and already knew it couldn't be good. I'm a car buff and knew that it had to be coming from the sidewall with the amount of air coming out. I couldn't find it. Went into church and came back out when it was done to change it with the spare. I got it off and saw that the hole was on the inner sidewall. The Trib was two weeks old with less than 300 miles!! It was a concrete nail. Needless to say I thought I was hosed and the tires weren't cheap as they were SUV tires too. Luckily with my connections I have a guy at Big O that was able to fix it! For nothing. Normally you can't fix it if it's in the sidewall but that's usually a liability thing.

I managed to find a piece of metal yesterday on I-25 by the Windsor exit. Discount Tire in Ft. Collins plugged the hole (for free too!), but I don't have any trust in the blizzaks at speed anymore. Put the brand spankin new KDW's on at 10:00 last night. Pray for no more snow for me.

I don't think that car belongs to anyone on in the group. You should go back down and talk to the guy. Tell him about the site and maybe he'll come to a meet so we can all see his car. It certainly couldn't be a bad thing to have connecting with a CO-CEG member who works at a parts store. So . . . go down and make a new friend.
