Your post is not quite clear.

Are you allowing un-metered air to enter the "seperation" cannister and them the intake? (breathers?)

The flow-through cannister idea itself is a good. My last car had one of it stock. Works quite well.

Bit lost, the air for the pcv comes into the c/case from the accordian tube ,through the cam covers/pcv valve and into the intake. It looks like you have the flow comming out TO the accordian tube. The gumming of the cast channels/secodaries is caused by hot egr gas and cold ISC air,it condenses and gums up.If the PCV valve is not working then you can get a back flow of engine oil fumes to the accordian tube into the intake(oil in the tube) The main problem with this system I've seen is when aftermarket air intakes are fitted and the pcv hoses from the accordian tube or other aftermarket tube ditch the small resrtictors in the 'stoc' tube ,this throws the breathing all out of wack re flow & depressin in the system. The PCV system is a 'metered' bleed with 'measured air' taken into the intake after the MAF.

An oil separator inline between the pcv and the block is a good idea. However, I notice that the primary intake passages remain relatively clean due to the constant flow of air. The secondaries become so gummed up because air is not constantly flowing. Using an oil separator and cracking the secondaries might do the trick.

By the way, apex had chrome remote mounted pcv oil separator or tank or whatever the hell its called.
It looked nice, but they wanted $100 for it so I left it where it was.

Yes,another thought! what is also 'bled' into the PCV inlet to the intake manifold that can 'gum it up'???? Look at the PCV Valve, where does that larger connection come from!! wink

So an PCV oil seperator between the pcv valve and the accordian or Aussie inlet pipe is the way to go?

or do we want it between the pcv valve and the purge sol on firewall?

or between the vapor can purve and the manifold?

Terry help!

Got any pics?

Are we talking about the gas vapor breather (carbon based unit IIRC) below the spare well???
