To all of you who love living in Colorado. I mean no offense. But I hate this damn place like nothing else. I moved here on August 21st of 2001. On August 23rd at 4:45 A.m. My 2000 civic Si was stolen from my hotel room @ Homestead studio Suites. Did I mention that I had just dropped $4k into it (buddy club body kit, weapon-r coil overs, koni yellows, greddy exhaust, weapon-r intake, 17" adr's, dc-sports ceramic header) Last night someone decided to try to steal my 2001 civic. My drivers side window is shattered, my driver side door handle is damn near torn off (dangling) The ignition column is torn to shreads, steering wheel smashed, and the intake that I put on yesterday (injen race devision) was gone also, leaving the hood propped open. So an Aurora P.D. officer comes to make a report. He got out of his car and said "with the flashy appearance, I'm not surprised someone tried to steal it". So I asked him "Is that what you tell rape victims" do you say, "with that flashy cleavage, it's not wonder someone tried to tap that ass". I'm not buying it. Let me catch somone breakin into my damn car, Its gonna be a remake of american history X. I owned 14 cars while I lived in california, and never had one thing happen to them. Ive owned four since Ive lived in Colorado and Three of them have been #@%^ed with since August. I guess thats why you dont even see a fraction of the amount of fly cars out here as you do in cali. People are tired of broke ass criminal coloradans putting their dirty ass hands on the things they work hard for......

Damn mike, thats messed up. Sorry bud. What did the cop say after you commented on the rape thing? I bet he was speechless...'flashy'...you had what, some aftermarket wheels on it. What an idiot, I still haven't met an Aurora Policeman that I liked. Again, sorry, if we can do anything please don't hesitate to ask. We're here for ya buddy!!! laugh

Man, Mike, that sucks. I'm always warey of that issue as well. That's why I try to keep my car low key. That's not to say that your car was by any means flashy. That's BS, and I hope every thing works out ok (car fixed appropriately, quickly, and insurance takes good care of you.)

Hey Cliff-hanger,

That sucks man, I would be very pissed also if that happened to me. If I were you, instead of buying so many cars, I would put on a quality alarm on your car. That way when it goes off you can go outside with a ball-bat and open a can on them.

Some parts of Aurora are pretty tough though, and I know that on the news they listed the top ten most stolen cars, and I think Civic was at the top. Get an alarm, and kick some ace.

Sorry to hear that story bud. My brother-in-law had a Civic Si what had a body kit and some nice rims... the car was stolen twice, and broken into another time... once on Christmas Day when his $4000 custom stereo was stolen. Merry Christmas ehh? Statistics show that Honda is one of the most stolen cars in America.

Atleast you don't have to deal with Ford customer service! wink

Sucks man. frown

Maybe that explains why here not too many cars are 'finished.' They will be lowered, with stock wheels, or have their handles shaved, but not repainted. Maybe its not the criminals that are poor here?

Seriously, I'm sorry to hear about the ride. It takes a piece of **** to mess with another man's ride. Like Vincent Vega says in Pulp Fictions, "It'd be worth 'em doing it just so I could catch them."
