Well, we have a couple of options guys. We can go to 2nd Creek Raceway again, but the only open days are weekdays. I was thinking about a Friday afternoon session, from about 1pm on. The same thing applies as last time, helmet required, and you can run till the wheels fall off your car . The cost is $60 per car, or if we get 5 cars together, the rate drops to $48 each. This only works with multiples of five though. The other option is a more competitve one. There is an SCCA Autocross at Coors Field at the end of the month. There is an event both the 28th and 29th of July. They are seperate, we do not need to attend both. That would be running Solo 1 which is slaloming between cones for a time. Kinda like a 50 second drag race with LOTS of turns. More info on Rocky Mountain SCCA activity (along with lots of good info for those who are not real familiar with what Solo 1 is all about and how to get started) can be found at www.rmsolo.org I am sure that we can all go get something to eat after each of these events as well. Well, what do you guys think? Alex in Boulder

Just curious if you guys would mind if some of us AZ guys joined in. I was trying to get a southwest states get together. Something closer to me. I'm being selfish. I was hoping say Southern CO, or Southern UT or Northern AZ. I like the track idea, just give me some idea as to where in the state these tracks are located. Or if you can think of some other place that would be closer to the above locations. I think it would be great to have a bunch more people. Let me know here or I have a topic started in the Southwest forum. Thanks

Bike, I'm in for a second creek thing. I might borrow someone's helmet this time, if that's cool, too. I don't think I'd autocross, though. I'd probably go watch. All this said, I'm still in NM, and I'm going to be in NYC for most of august before I head back up to school. Where are there tracks in Northern AZ, Southern CO, or Southern UT??? Not a bad idea.

Well, 2nd Creek is right by Denver International Airport, just NE of the city. Coors Field is right in Denver. There is another track, Pueblo Motorsports Park, that is south of Colorado Springs, but I don't really have any info on that track. I'm kinda leaning twords the 2nd Creek idea for the group, but I will be going to the autocross as well.
AZ-SVT: you guys are MORE than welcome to come out! We had Jose from the Utah forums drive out for our last track day at 2nd Creek with his wife and it sounds like they had a blast. There are several hotels within 2 miles of the track, due to it's proximity to the airport if you need a place to stay. I'm sure that if you guys road triped up here, we would find something fun to do.

Another session at Second Creek sounds good to me Alex. BTW, I'm going out there 7/8 (big race weekend there), particuarly to watch the Spec Ford Racer class regional. Looking into this for a possible race team.
Also, got my Koni's and Eibachs in. I'll let you know on that.

Alex, Definitely up for Second Creek on a Friday afternoon. I'd say you could count me and Dave in for that, especially since it sounds like the track is not as bad on tires at the website makes it out to be.
BTW, should have the Bandimere pics posted this weekend sometime, just gotta figure out how.

Alex, Second Creek sounds good, can't make it this month though. If you could figure a time in August let me know.

Hey, you AZ guys are more than welcome to join in! That's what these groups are all about...getting together. I should be able to make it. Alex, thanks yet once again for organizing this. I've been super busy and it looks like things are gonna slow a tad for a while. Whew! I'll be there with or without the Mystique! TTYL fellas John jc-aimhigher@webtv.net

Every Friday night at Firebird it's $15.00 all you can race and one Saturday a month. If you run under 13.9 you don't need a helmet. Any of you guys want to see the desert?
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Well, how about a date for 2nd Creek? Does July 20th sound good? Is that too soon? I can do that day or August 3rd. Lets get some feedback here along with a preliminary headcount.
