Hello all,

The SVT's in the shop while I'm out here in Singapore again for a problem caused by my new Bassani exhaust.

It would seem the 2000's have a vent line running from the fuel tank up to the engine compartment needed to vent pressure from the tank while filling or expansion.

When my Bassani was installed or quickly there after, the line came free from the mounting bracket and all but laid on the hot exhaust pipe basically melting it shut. Now I can bearly put gas in the car. If I try to run the pump at full pressure/flow, the gas backs up the filler pipe and runs down the side of the car mad

It's at Mike Naughton Ford where it getting fixed. The only down side is the warranty won't cover it due to the modified exhaust.

Hopefully she'll be done by the time I get home on Sunday.

Hope all is well with everyone.

That sucks, Jason. Did you install the pipes yourself? At least it's a fixable problem and no permanant damage done *crossing fingers*. I'd still love to hear your car w/ the Bassani!

I got to hear Jason's exhaust when he so graciously gave me his old SVT exhaust system. It sounds great! Loud but deep.
Thanks again to Jason for hooking me up with his old system.

The exhaust was installed by Mustangs Unlimited here in Denver. I spoke to them but since the problem arose after I drove it for a few they aren't taking responsibility. Big surprise... mad

I should be able to pick the SVT up tomorrow though. At least now I'll be able to put gas in it again...

We need to get everyone together for something soon. I should be in town for a few weeks. Any ideas???

For future reference, I had my Borla installed about a year ago at House of Mufflers at I-25 and Evans. No problems whatsoever. I'll be going back to them when I get the MSDS headers and y-pipe. And by the sounds of it, that will be a long wait.
