Well, i just all the literature for my driving class on May 6th. This class is put on by BMWCCA, so I suspect I am going to spend most of my time on the track staying out of the way of all those M3's :-(
Anyway, one of the recommendations they make is to run 20w-50 oil at the track, and change the oil before and after the track day. They claim the oil breakdown and foaming can be quite severe.
Also, they sent me a great paper on how to drive Second Creek (a corner by corner description), for both clockwise and counter-clockwise running. Very useful.
So I'll let you all know what I think of the class after it's done. BMWCCA puts on this class every year, and it came highly recommended.

You are going to have a blast there! Also, I don't think that on a track as small as 2nd Creek that you're going to have M3's blowing by you. There was a 540i there at the track that did not really pull on myself or Allyn48. The Viper GTS's on the other hand...watch out!

The class was $145. That includes a Car Control Clinic that is held at Red Rocks Community College (mine is today), plus an all day driving class at Second Creek (my class meets May 6th). The Car Control Clinic is required if you have never taken a BMWCCA class before, otherwise you can skip it and just go for the driving school.
I have a friend who belongs to BMWCCA (he has a turbo M3!!), and he faxed me the application forms. He is usually pretty good about informing me of events like this, so next time one of these classes comes up I'll be sure to let the group know...
