Try some Goodyear Eagle HPs . I got 'em on my SE and they handle great, wear very good also. Should be able to find them for les than $80 a pop.

ok, so im either getting these
Dayton rated HR - 65.95 ea
at my local shop, mounted and balanced for free...
or these
Dunlop SP Sport A2 - 55.00 ea
+35 shipping...
how much do you think a shop would charge for mounting and balancing? is it worth it to shop online?

Most shops charge around $13 per tire to mount and balance. I got my last set from the Tire Rack drop shipped to the nearest Tire Rack installer, a local shop just a few miles from my house. If you are getting them fom the Tire Rack they list their recommended installers on their site. Is it worth it to shop online, yes usually, even with shipping, and there is no sales tax. Tire Rack

Consider about $50-60 for a set of tires mounted and balanced at most places. Compared to that Dayton example, the Dunlop through Tirerack would cost about $30 more for the set, but IMO is a far superior tire. More grip dry and wet, better steering response, and should last a good 40-50k depending on how driven.

If you don't drive really fast & you're trying to keep the $$$ down, go with the Dunlop A2s (H speed rated).

Just my $.02
