Correct it may not fit,you need an svt shifter the same year as the Focus.Its not just the 'stick' that has been changed,the mech under the sitck has be changed/upgraded by Ford several times,the latest housing are a black plastic Vs the early metal assys.

B&M's breaking? Anybody else heard of this? It is machined from solid stainless billet. Must mean the lower end cable attachment?

Do tell. Don't just throw out something like that without a reason or explanation...
Had mine on for 1.5 years and 15k very hard shifted miles without a hitch... I have heard of Zero breaking either...

At least 10 people in our Focus group have broken them, not just bent them, BUT IN HALF!!! To me, it looks like a weak design and I'd rather have an SVT short shifter.
PLEASE!!! Anybody got a 2000 SVT Contour stock shifter they aren't using and wanna sell???

Hey Yellowfocus.
Did you ever get your shifter? Wondering if it fit. I ordered a 00 SVT shifter today for my 01 ZX3. Had to order the whole assembly! I will find out in a couple weeks if it fits.....
1996 Mystique GS V6 MTX - PIAA bulbs, SVT shift knob, Firestone Firehawk tires, EBC Greenstuff front pads, Amsoil oil filter, Centerforce Dual Friction clutch, SVT flywheel, Amsoil synthetic transmission fluid.
