I came across some tires in my garage the otehr day that I didn't know I had. 2 snow tires, and 4 all-season tires. The problem is that they are a different profile size that the tires I'm running right now. Currently I have Potenza RE930i 205/60/R15 90H on my 15" rims that are 6.5"JX5H2 width.

The tires in the garage are 206/70/R15 95S (same size both all season and winter). The winter tires are Wintermark HT's and the all-seasons are Allegiance Radial A/S. Will these tires fit on my rims without any problems? I have a feeling it might give my car a lifted look.

Any input is appreciated.

Yes they will fit on the rims, BUT they will probably rub too, being 2 sizes bigger than the stock size... You are adding about 3/4" of an inch to the height of the tire, probably closer to 1 inch... And not to many shops would put them on anyways... We go by a Tire Fitment guide, if the book does not have that size in it, they will not put them on...

You could take just the rims in to a shop, if they don't know what they are going on, they can't say anything...

Just my 1/2 a cent worth of thought...

Yep, about 3/4 of an inch taller sidewall. Handling will go out to lunch and you may have rubbing issues. IMO, save them for another car or sell them.

Thanks for the help guys. I was hoping there wouldn't be a rubbing problem. I wasn't worried about the performance of the tires, because it was going to be a cheap way till i can get ahold of some cahs for new rims AND tires. oh well...
