I have nothing but good things to say about my Falkens but I don't think I have you style tire. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with Falkens! I think mine are Ziex. I think thats the proper spelling. confused

It is THE tire, right now for SCCA STS and STX classes where a minimum tread wear rating of 140 is required? I have heard they are good for a one second advantage on a minute long racing course. But supposedly the BFG KD tire is just as good if you want to shell out twice the money. But you must get the Azenis RS, I think and not the other model with the Azenis name. Tire Rack does not sell them yet, HINT, HINT, HINT!!!!! Luke!

Neither tire is that good in the rain apparently.

How do they compare against the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position?

Azenis are stickier in the dry, but not as good in the wet. Azenis are cheaper than S-03 as well. Nothing wrong with S-03, though!!!

I have 195/60/14 Azenis's on my Jetta. They are simply amazing. I have a very hard time finding the limits of these tires on the street. Since it does not rain in Colorado I'll get back to you on the wet traction issue.
I'll know more about their at the limit handeling after I go to the track later this week. laugh

I had these installed two weeks ago. I am very pleased with them. The ride is much quieter than the KDWs were, at least with only 1,500 miles on them. They may get louder with time but they are not directional tires, so they can be rotated from one side of the car to the other to even out wear and keep noise down. They perfomance is impressive, the limits are really too high to approach on the street. I use them for autocross and breakaway is very smooth and predictable...the car even lifts the inside rear tire 5"-6" off the ground now (with Koni adjustables and an Aussibar). Wet traction is very good unless there's standing water, then they get a little skethcy, but not enough to be scary. Wear has been reasonable as little has shown after 1,500 miles including one autocross. The only think I dislike is that the are firm, but not quite as stiff as I like, requiring just over 40psi to prevent rolling over onto the sidewalls in autocross. The tires look great on the car if that matters. I am very impressed with these tires and will buy them again.

I'm running the 215/45-16. When I parked at this mornings auto-x event, I looked around and 3 of the 4 cars around me had Azenis.

They are a bit stiffer than the KDWs... the installers had a tough time getting them on as others have mentioned, but they hold the road much better.

Brentos, how many events have you run with the Azenis? I asked around at the event today to judge what tire pressures would work the best. Went with 45 all around to start. Finally settled on 42-front and 40-rear. I experienced no sidewall wear with 42 up front.

The more pressure I had in my back tires, the more tail-happy the car felt.
I plan to do some more testing, but any input would be appreciated.

I've searched around, but no one on the board seems to have posted tire pressure info with the SVT/Azenis combo.

I've only run one autocross with them so far, so I haven't dialed in the setup exactly.

I ran 40 all around and was on the verge of rolling them onto the sidewalls...of course mine are 55 series rather than your 45...which may explain why mine feel softer than the KDW's did.

I was fighting understeer all day with this pressure (even with the aussiebar), at next weeks 'cross I will run a full tank of gas rather than 1/2-3/4, turn up the Koni's in the rear, and run 42 psi up front and 44 or 45 in rear and adjust from there...probably too much to change at once, but I will post my best setting next week. Being able to coax the rear around really helps my times.
