Anybody out there had any experience with the Sumitomo HTRZII tires? I don't want KDWs and the Sumitomo appears to spec out better than the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712,IMHO.

I don't hace any personal experience, but I hear nothing but good things. I know they will be my next set when the G-Force wear out.

People talk real good about them. I wasn't able to find a set anywhere so I had to settle for a set of HTRZ's. Good tire so far...they are 225 so they roll over more than the KDW but for ~$80 they do what I need, and I don't particularly care if I destroy them.

I love the HTRZ II's! They have been great tires. They're very quite for everyday driving and grip pretty damn good. I find myself trying to make them squeal going around some turns and they just won't. I've also auto-x'd alot with them and they've treated me very well.

Tread life has been good so far even after all the hard driving.

WHen this set wears out I defiently want another set. smile

I have the HTRZ II's also. Like skid123 said, it is impossible to make them squeal around turns. I've tried and just can't make them do it! My old tires would squeal just puling out! Tread life is good so far, haven't had them real long though. Definitely a good tire IMO, haven't heard anything bad about them at all.

I loved my HTR-lls but I had 225x40x18s on a 7" wide rim. At 20k miles the lateral stress caused the tread to seperate from the belt on the inner front tires.. really bad news.. Just be careful that you don't over-stress them with the wrong size rim width.. eek

I have the HTRZ II's also. They are much, much quieter going down the road than my Eagle GTII's and also have better overall grip. I currently have the 215/45/17's on 17x7 Konig Imagines.

I recommend them highly.

I can't say anything bad about them as I love mine. Really great bang for the buck! I auto-x mine from time to time as well as my daily tires. I really love 'em in the wet! 225/45/17 on 7.5 inch wheels.
