I surprised 2 guys from Michigan went with the 18" choice. I have already bent 5 17"'s. I would have thought that going with 18s would ceraintly mean wheel replacements.
My advice is look at the roads you drive on first. The look may not be worth it.

Darkside sorry took so long to respond- but I am using ground control coilovers- they seem very user friendly-

I wouldnt suggest running a road course with such big wheels(18-19)..use either your stockers for auto-x..smaller diameter and less weight..quicker laps...plus..you wont ruin your pretty wheels/expensive tires.

darkside-
almost a year ago but I payed $152each -($610 all) for my konis- from ASI out of calif.
and $358 for coilovers- directly from ground control systems-out of calif also- save up some cash and do it right - i also threw a sway bar under there from bat.

(just like someone said). and no chance of shredding $$ tires, or rolling onto $$$$ wheels. I've been driving on 16"+ wheels and bilstein sports for 6 years and never bent or even scratched a rim. i drive on 17s and stock SVT suspension right now. i've been lucky a few times. i just do my best to avoid pot holes.
