I ran a search for this already.

I have a 98 SE, and was originally looking to do an SVT exhaust conversion, but that simply isn't cost effective. So, as a good alternative, I'd like to glasspack the exhaust I have.

I've decided I'd like to go with the Vibrant "glasspack" 12". Is there anything that would prohibit me from doing so on this car? And what is the specific part? The Vibrant website is a little obtuse when it comes to the catalogue. Yell at me for being lazy, but if someone already knows what I'm looking for, I'd appreciate it. TIA.

i am not an exhaust expert, but i will throw in my $.02:

first off, posting in bold letters that you searched can get you flamed worse than not searching at all...i know i have been there smile

unless i am missing something, experts help me out here, i would say the only problems you might be looking at would be inlet/outlets....as long as hey arent like 3 inchers, you should be ok......i am pretty sure the 12" would fit

in my opinion, you might want to consider something with a perforated core, rather than a glasspack, but again my 2 pennies, which i think that brings me up to $.04. laugh

haha ok. Well, I've heard nothing but good things about the Vibrant glasspack, which apparantly isn't really a glasspack at all, but allows for high flow, and not an outrageous amount of sound.

What's the size of the stock exhaust on these so I can just match it?

yeah if it is one of those resonators that they call a glass pack, but isnt a true glasspack, with all those little strands of wire/metal sticking up, wrapped in fiberglass, then i say go for it, cause i too have heard praises about all vibrant stuff.......as far as stock size? um......help me out here someone.....is it 2"? i really dont know, so a lot of good it did me to post this reply except to up my post numbers! laugh
