Just got the P6000 installed last week. Previously, I had Michelin Pilot XGT H4 which had cost me $110/tire vs. $57 for P6000 from tirerack.

Braking and wet traction is excellent. I have noticed that car has a little less stability in corners then previous tire.

But I have to take into account that I had tire pressure on Michelins at 40 front/42 rear vs. 32's all around on Pirelli's, as suggested by NTB.

Anyone know proper tire pressure ('96 Contour SE)?

Ford and Haynes state different things.

I have the Pilot H4's 32 psi all around. I don't know how you could have put up with the ride harshness at 40 psi. I tried going higher than 32 and the ride was punishing and it was very easy to "bounce" off of bumps and nearly lose control.

The recommened pressures are on a label on the side of the driver's door.

Oh believe me I felt the bumps.

However, i'm in the process of buying new shocks and springs so I didnt know that the tire pressure had a significant effect on ride comfort.

I still haven't bought BAT or Koni kit because of $$$, but care does feel alot less bouncy at 32psi.

the decal on the door says 31/34 for p205/60r15's. I have Dunlop Sport A2's at 32/35. My parents have the Michelin Pilot XGT H4 and run either 31/34 or 32/34. the cars are listed in my sig so you know
