I own a 98 contour SVT with stock suspension, and am planning to buy 18 inch RS-5 wheels. I have done a search on what tire will fit without rubbung, but everybody is saying different things. Can someone please tell me what tire will not rub. Im thinking 215/40/18.

it's mostly dependent on the offset and width of the wheel. but I can tell you this, I run an 18x8, 40mm offset, 225-40's, they rub. a coworker of mine has the exact same wheel (not same dimension, but the exact same wheel), running a 215-40, and he tells me (i have not checked into this, ie: gone for a ride in his car), he doesn't rub. we both have SVT contours, both with H&R springs, both with TD DTM's.

read my sig they rub only on the passenger side so i bent up the fender lip and no more rubbing, even with four people and a huge system, my offset is 43mm also

They wont rub, i just got the same setup yesterday, and after this period of time they rubbed once over a large bump, dont worry.
