I have S-03s on my Focus and LOVE them! They are pricey though!

I am also looking for 215/45/17 series tires. Will I kill myself with the SO-3 in mild snow?

I heard great things about those and the Firestones.

I like my 910's for 'moderate' driving, but the tread is a 'nail magnet'. I have never have picked up 'nails and screws' as frequently with any other tire travelling basically the same roads!

I had Potenza RE71's on a porsche 914 and the car was fantastic to begin with and was even better with those tires. I am unclear if this tire has been replaced by the others that are noted on this post. However, I just ordered Potenza Pole Posisitions yesterday based on my research, which consisted of reviewing a few of these posts along with some other internet stuff. I have realistic expectations, but Im sure they will be better than the stock tires...
