Hey guys, and gals,
I just picked up a set of E1 Wheels, but In an attempt to not misrepresent My SE, I would like to replace the SVT logo centercaps with something else. Anybody have any input on replacements?
thanks in advance,
Chris S.

It is your car and they are SVT wheels... Why concern yourself with "misrepresentation"? If they look good, keep them. It may be different if you rebadged your entire car to be an SVT. Have fun with you 'Tour cause that is what it is all about!

I like your attitude I just thought that I would check it out, well, to be a little different. Those SVT caps do look nice though Thanks for your input, Chris S.

I've got a question out to Tire Rack about this very thing. The centercaps in the Contour SVT wheels they sell have a picture of the cobra instead of the SVT logo. I've asked them if I can buy a set of center caps. I'll post again when I find out.

Two ways to go, that I can think of quickly:
1) Paint the caps...
2) Measure the diameter and shop around. Most of these things are pretty standard size (IIRC, 74mm?) even if the wheel center bore is, I think, 63.6mm. Anyway, measure to be sure, then surf the web for "center caps" or check out your local wheel and tire stores for plain ones.
3) (OK, three, I lied) I wonder if the backing would come off? People have done this kind of thing with their Ford badges. Maybe check out the aesthetic forum for ideas.

I've got the E1's with the cobra emblem on the center caps, if anyone wants to trade for some stock SVT center caps I'd be willing. Ford want's like $40 a pop for those things.

I have a GL with the E1 rims. I am keeping the SVT center caps because they are SVT rims. I am not, however, putting an SVT badge on the car along with my SVT body kit.

I just put on my set of SVT wheels yesterday and I gotta say, I have no intentions of removing the SVT center cap, it would take away from the fact that those are unique Contour SVT wheels, and they look great...and it's not like I'm ricing it up that way...(am I..?)
