if youre getting uneven wear on your tires then i'd definitely get a 4wheel alignment before putting new tires on there. i have a bent rear control arm, (dunno how that happened confused ) after i replace that i'll have to go in for a 4 wheel alignment. my ford dealer charges 59.99 for it...not too bad.

uneven tire wear is the number 1 sign that you need an alignment.

Thanks for the business

Hey Tour,

Just a question. Why'd you go with the Sumitomo HTR Z II instead of the HTR+ ? Looks? I ask cause I just came from spending a long time comparing all the specs & reviews for tires. Can't wait to see what your ride will look like.

the htr+ are W rated. not that i need Z rated, but for the same price, i'd prefer the Z rated tires. i'm not concerned about the lower treadwear rating on the htrz ii's either. i figure they'd both last about the same time either way. and besides, you're right, i really like the tread pattern on the htrz ii's. laugh

just wanted to update everyone interested in the Sumitomo HTR Z II's. i got the wheels today and installed them. they are AWESOME. the tread pattern is awesome and it rained tonight so i got to try out their wet traction, it was great! need to get an alignment though, steering feels a little sloppy right now. that and i need to let the tires break in a bit. all in all i'm very pleased. i'll have pics soon of the borbet type t's too. i think they look great!

my roommate ordered ASA IS6's with sumitomo htrz ii's 235/45wr-17. his are coming tomorrow. can't wait to see what they look like on his SHO!
