Just bought my 99SE 2 months ago- until coming to CEG I never really thought much about tire brand. Went out to look and see what I have. Lemans!!??? Does any one know naything baout these tires. They are brand new- factory rec. size, even have the little rubber things sticking out (u know- like they do on new tires- then they wear away). Are the decent tires for now or should I get some others and sell these???

They are made by Bridgestone/Firestone. Are they a performance type tread/tire?

Yes they are- they looak and ride very nice- just wasn't sure if they were some knock off or something or what the speed rating on them might be- I will check the Firestone sites. I get free tires for life from the Ford dealership (as long as I have them do alignment, balancing and rotation at specified mileage) and it will prolly be the same brand or firestone everytime I go in to get new ones. All I do is take the car to them when my tread depth gets to a certaint point and they replace them- bo charge. I thought that was awesome- If they give me decent tires.

Since they are new and are performance type, I would keep them at least for a while. At least until you put some miles on them to determine what they can do.
