Stopped by a local tire shop today, as my OE KDW's are about down to nothing. I told the man at the shop I was looking to upgrade to 225's, so he took out his fitment book to see if they would fit. The book not only had 225/50's listed as plus zeros, but also listed a 245/45  as a fitment. He said he'd order me a set, and if they rubbed, i could get full store credit toward any other tire i want. Should I try, or will this just be a waste of time? If anyone knows or has any experience, please speak up. Thanks. ted.

Moving as fast as I can. Just gotta get it all put together now. I'll be very far along by the end of the weekend and though it won't be driveable it should be able to tell if there are any front rubbing issues.

A definite no go on the 245's. Would have looked and stuck pretty darn good me thinks. Turns out the place is now being run by the son of the owner and he is a ****. Would not even order me a set of 225/50's as he was positive that they would not fit either :rolleyes: . Told me that they had put HUNDREDS of the 245's on SVT's, but the offset on my wheel was way different. Ther're stock! I have never seen one CSVT in my neck of the woods, let alone the many running on aftermarket 16's that it would take for his story to be true  . Currently looking for a shop to order me up some 225's. Thanks for all the help.

As far as I and tire rack know, I'll be the first to try and get them to actually fit. FWIW, my offset is 40mm and that isn't enough to make them clear the struts so a spacer is needed. I'm really expecting them to fit pretty well and I'll let you guys know as soon as I get them working right. BTW I am putting them all the way around.

I am a happy man once more. Went down the road to another tire shop and ended up getting 215 KDW's for $119!! Cheaper than anywhere I had seen in a long time. It was a good day.
