I am thinking about buying a used 00 SVT with 26,000 miles on it. The factory tires are shot and I'd need to buy new ones. Since I've already owned an SVT, I don't want to get back into having two sets of tires for it and would prefer getting a good set of all seasons for it. I think the Continental ContiSports that they put on the new BMWers would be alright. What do you think? Does anyone drive an SVT with all seasons? I know all the blah, blah, blah about the car being designed for high performance tires, etc. So everyone who is thinking of giving me s***, you're forewarned. Thanks for any constructive advice.

Lots of people have all-seasons on their SVT's. Some on here have tried and liked the KWDS, but Luke @ Tirerack recommends the Dunlop SP5000 as the best performance all-season tire.

i have the KDWS's on my 98 SVT,in my opinion they are a very good tire. who's to say what is the best, just like the "wax" debates on here. pretty much all boils down to personal preference. but for my area (western pa) these do the trick very nicely.

I think it depends quite a bit on what area you live in and what your personal preference is. Do you need more dry performance or better wet handling? Is snow or winter weather a concern? Just a few things you should consider before your purchase. I'm considering Bridgestone Potenza RE950s, The afore mentioned Dunlops, and the BFGoodrich KDWS's. They each have different strong points but would all make a good all-season tire IMO. Good Luck.

Thanks. I'm in the midwest, so we get some snow. I'm willing to give up some high end performance for some good year round protection. This would include rain, though I'm more concerned about the winter.
I had Blizzaks last winter, and they were excellent! But I just want to avoid doing that thing again.

From what I've seen/heard the KDWS are pretty good in the snow plus they have good all around dry performance. I'd consider the RE950's over the others because I personally think they're probably a better tire. But thats me. Let us know when you make your choice. We're ALWAYS looking for a personal take on ANY tires that someone trys on our cars.

Dunlop SP Sport 5000s. I have the 205/55zr16s, and these are the best "all season" tires that I have ever owned. Not bad @ $101 a piece, too...
