I know this doesn't apply to most because we know how Contour owners like to use high end tires laugh , but for those that use regular tires that might have been made from Cooper Tires might want to check to see if your affected by this litigation ...

Q: How can I tell if my tires are covered by this settlement??

A: Regardless of the brand name of your tire, by checking the DOT number located on the sidewall of your tire, you can determine if it is covered by the settlement.

Look at the number following the "DOT." If the number begins with U9, 3D, UT, or UP and is a total of 10 digits, your tire is covered.

If the number begins with U9, 3D, UT, or UP, ends in 00 or 01 and is a total of 11 digits, your tire is covered.

Also you can kinda see a list of tires here http://www.coopertirelitigation.com/coopertire/coopertire_brands.html
