Hello, new to the board, new to the whole ford arena actually. I'm hoping to find some help on mods on my wifes 2000 contour se. It's got the 4 cylinder in it, so I am not really interested in making it launch any faster, but handling wise, I'd like it to perform better, and braking too. One question I got is I have a set of 17" BBS RC's, the 302's on my car, bolt pattern is 5X120 and 15mm offset, was wondering if these could fit her car or not. I saw the stuff on tirerack and they don't show BBS at all, but most folks don't believe these fit my car, they do, just had to get the inner fenders rolled a bit for more space. I also saw the springs and shocks offered on tirerack, I didn't notice swaybars offered, of course I didn't check around this board, I will. Thanks in advance for any info.

Pisser, was hoping for a cheap way to put on some nice rims, guess I'll have to buy a set. Yeah, 15mm looks good on the style of rim, if I bought the suggested 38mm offset RC's, they have no dish to them at all. Thanks for the info, I'll be checking in here from time to time. The 4 banger in the car now leaves something to be desired, I was checking the engine upgrades for the contour, I'll be looking for a way to drop in something bigger in the future, again thanks for the info on the lug pattern.

You can try E-bay, but very few cars share our specs. Look for 4X108 mm, or 4x4.25" (check my math) with a 40mm offset. Some of the older Audi's and Vw's use the same bolt pattern, but their offsets are different.

I did actually find a set of new wheels on E-bay that would have fit the contour, but they had some design elements I didn't care for, so I didn't get them. Price was good. It took some digging, though, and patience.

Just a thought, if you're trying to save money.
